Shopping Broughton [Part 1]
It had been awhile since I had strolled down Broughton Street’s west end to shop. Have I been missing out! With the addition of national retailers Free People and Kate Spade, it has become quite the scene.
One of my favorites is Sylvester & Co. Modern General for luxury home furnishings and candles and unique gifts like the giant tic tac toe game. I am constantly wooed by the bright orange accents of the shop and always end up finding something unusual like these cool “Text Your Mother” coffee mugs!
Stopping into Kate Spade, a girl can’t help but to try on the glitzy heels — perfect for the upcoming holiday party season! In addition to the colorful bags and accessories, I was impressed by the sweet sales associates who I overheard helping customers with the difference between a kitten heel and a wedge AND where to go for the best fried chicken in Savannah. A pleasure shopping here.
It was on to Satchel where local Savannah girl, Elizabeth Seeger’s handmade leather bags are a must for every girl who knows what’s what. Seeger creates everything from clutches to travel bags to leather cuffs and koozies. Stop in to see how amazing Satchel is when you visit Savannah!
A pit stop at Chocolat by Adam Turoni to drool over the truffles I should not be eating and then promptly selecting two. (I saved one for later, I promise.)
Continuing west, a visit to Zia Boutique is necessary to see the latest gold and silver jewelry that owner Zia Sachedina has brought in from around the world.
You won’t be disappointed when you shop Savannah this holiday season! The varied mix of local and national retailers combined with the pedestrian-friendliness of the area make it an appealing destination to all. Check back soon for more on shopping Savannah!
